After the war Card Walker returned to his employment at the Walt Disney Company becoming head of publicity in 1950, supervising the establishment of Walt Disney World, becoming President in 1971, later CEO, establishing Tokyo Disneyland, the Disney Channel, Epcot, and finally Chairman in 1980. He retired in 1984, but remained on the Board of Directors until 2000, having been on the Disney board for 50 continuous years.
